I see LEAVES

Wee! This took me.. a while. But hey, I finished it in one day 8D I wanted to practice some background painting, so that is what I spent the whole of my day on.

I also missed Ainmire, so I wanted to draw him. Thing is, I don't like his face XP But I'll live with it.

Lol.. you can see up his kiiiilt. Harharhar.

Baeddan's too small. Gonna point that out right now, he's like.. twice this size, but for the sake of fitting on my paper.. He's going to remain this size.

My graphire tablet hates my guts. Skips out, ignores me, occasionally just.. doesn't work, it's kind of infuriating.

Hurrah painting practice!!! And now I am going to go and.. write.

Missed you Ain 8D Don't worry, we'll get you out of those tunnels eventually.

Edit: and I should probably include this before I get any more jibes about it ... The oh so lovely positioning of the kilt and the revealy-ness is a joke between me and my friend, who was constantly making fun of the changing lengths in his kilt (no Minx, not you, there was someone else too) So I made this when she jokingly suggested I show off what's under the kilt. And my commenters on DA... I am not replying to any of you.

"Straying into things you shouldn't"

WEE!!!

That was awesome fun.

Anyways, Once again I picked up my long since stuffed away character, and decided to doodle him.

While i was painting, his palette slowly became pretty much white and blue (he started with pigmentation in the skin, really) And I'm happy with the results.

"I'm working on a new doll.. would you like to see it?"

I had to think about it for a while while I was painting his chest, because.. Originally (Ack, I forgot his soul again @_@) I realized, Yukio would have to be wasted to virtually nothing. He is technically no longer in control of his body, therefore neglects it, but.. well I didn't feel like turning him into a skeleton. Skinny, yes, skeletal.. no.

So I thought about it and I figured.. Even if he doesn't have a soul, it doesn't mean he isn't in control of his body. Granted, his awareness of his connection to his physical being is probably a bit.. messed up, but he'd still have survival mode, and therefore eat enough to keep his body going. Probably looks a lot like Gollum and his fish friends but.. He does eat. Meaning when he gets his soul back, he won't be returning to a dead body. Neglected and badly needing attention/nourishment, but alive.

I've decided he's going to play a part in my story. Not a very huge role, but.. well, he doesn't deserve to rot in my file folder for eternity. He's a pretty awesome character!

Oh, the doll...

Right, how to explain this.. Yukio is something of a serial killer. Only, he doesn't work on the physical plane, more on the spiritual one. He never ACTUALLY kills anyone. He's a practitioner of the dark arts (which are sort of.. illegal), and is capable of removing a persons soul and storing it in another object. He then is able to control the empty vessel left behind. He makes dolls of all his chosen victims, and stores the soul inside the doll. A "Soul Puppeteer" if you will =] I had to come up with some kind of creepy trademark x3

That's also what he did to himself, because the process is a little risky, as you risk accidentally removing your own soul in the process. So, he decided to get the jump on the disadvantages, and removed his own soul, storing it in a little glass vial he wears around his neck (that I keep forgetting to draw). Close enough he's still connected, but now safe from harms way 8D

His reasons for choosing such a life are his own and not mine to divulge >...>

No interesting story for today, except I made dinner and lemonade and pie. ALRIGHT <3

I can feel my brain melting

Into a relatively large puddle of nonproductive-ness.

For starters today, I woke up around noon. The house was eerily empty, and I was thinking I should look into some breakfast, so went downstairs to put the kettle on. As well as a load of laundry, which is still in the dryer if I remember correctly. Came back upstairs and watched the Hunchback of Notre Dame as I nursed my cup of tea, and did a little bit of typing. When my tea was gone, I had a shower, and I'm getting a little tired of all the attention suddenly granted to me when I shut the water off. This time it was dad informing me he'd brought home some samosa's for me to eat.

Weee!

I got dressed, and had fun playing the game where I try to pull of as little clothing as possible, yet cover as much skin as possible. A skirt and tank won out, though the lovely day only lasted for about an hour or two before the storm set in and I had to run around and close all the windows.

My first day of summer and I accomplished nothing 8D hell, I hardly left the house today. Watched Hunchback, Back the the Future, Anchorman (I now understand a lot of the flair my friend was sending me), and I am now starting the second back to the future movie. This one is the one where they go into the future to stop their kid, I think.. instead of where they go to the old old west. Weeeee.

Finally decided I'd doodle something! It started as me mapping out the first page of my comic (I'm on a deadline now with my friend Leah) and turned into me realizing the first completely not important character to make an appearance.. doesn't have a design. So I had to get cracking on that :B

So here he iiiiiis, (on the right in black and white) and he doesn't have a name. Not because I couldn't be bothered to come up with one, I decided that it would be best if in the story, his name never gets mentioned. I wrote in my blue pencil, "Three months, I'll be back!"

Backstory!

Well like I said, he's not really a very prominent character, so I guess it doesn't totally matter if I share everything about him. And by everything I mean very little >< Pretty much, he's the son of a wealthy merchant. A very nice guy, if a bit oblivious to people around him. He gets idea's and acts on impulse, never one for planning or arranging, he's typically just.. up and go. Hence the reason why his role in the story is so brief, he's there for the prologue, and then takes off on a little quest and just.. never returns.

He's Suka's husband, as was arranged by their parents, though Suka's parents died before-- anticipated, pushing the role of a wife on their daughter a lot earlier than would be ideal. He handled it pretty well, taking the small portion of his fathers wealth allotted to him and setting up house and all of that fun stuff and was able to look after her. Course, after he disappeared, his father (Suka's father-in-law) had no problem backing right out and leaving Suka to fend for herself, with virtually nothing.

Dick.

Anyways, These aren't the clothes he'll be wearing when I finally get around to doing something, I was just being a lazy idiot and stuffing him in my default shirt and vest combo. I'm probably going to design costumes in the next two hours or so while I watch the second Back to the Future, and then get down to scribbling up the timeline I was gonna start after my shower and.. didn't.

Other doodles are just me exploring the character Eli again, also in the default shirt and vest combo. Oh I'm inveeeeeentive.

Starting to get a feeling for the way Eli looks, I think. Go me 8D

Okay, back to brain-melt-ville and costume design.

Chapter closing

It still feels so wrong to have school end in April. Leah kinda brick walled me when she told me that if I was in high school-- I'd be jealous.

And I guess I would be! But right now I'm just like.. Holy shit that was the most fast moving eight months of my life- this last week especially. It's like just yesterday I started going to Sheridan, and now it's done with. I didn't make my goal in getting into Animation, I'm heading into a second year of visual and creative design, and... I've got a house leased with my friends.

Yeah, Didn't see this coming >< Did NOT see it coming from a mile away.

This last week was.. Something else. I've been at school every day so far, Sunday to look at a townhouse to rent, Monday for class, Tuesday to make deposit on said house, Wednesday for class, Thursday because I forgot my homework due Friday, and Today, for class. Now I've said goodbye to my classmates and friends and I'm like.. woah, I can't really believe everything that's happened.

Hell, I've impressed MYSELF this year, which is a bit of a miracle, as I tend to think everything I do is substandard and not meeting up to somebodies expectations of me.

Anyways.. I guess in.. celebration? Naw, let's just call it closing.. In closing of my first year of college-- which was amazing and more than I was ever expecting to find:

Before you think anything, Yes this was based on a true event.

I also couldn't give a shit about the colouration of the goose.

Remember when a spider chased me up my dresser? Well today, a goose chased me clear across a parking lot.

I had a job interview at eight thirty this morning at Sheridan, Davis campus. My dad drops me off at the corner, and I start to walk towards the school, taking a pathway I assume leads towards the main entrance. Well, there was this Canadian Goose sitting on the pathway... I also assumed that as I got closer, it would waddle away, as most.. avian creatures tend to do when you get to close.

Nope. It hissed at me, standing on one foot and looking at me. I stopped dead, deciding I didn't want to mess with the goose, and started to back off... Then it charged at me.

Let's just say my brothers childhood fear of geese makes perfect sense now.

I LIKE COLOURING :B

THIS was an experiment in GET-THAT-SHIT-PAINTED!

because I'm tired and want to go to bed twenty minutes ago x3

Don't know why I'm so tired, I just am. Been a stressful day of Mom/dad/sister/brother/cooking/ants.

I've mentioned before how much I love Montague's hair, right? Yeah, I could draw that guy all day if only to have an excuse to play with his hair.

Not 100% happy with this, Suka's face is a bit funny, Monty's head is too large-- which I totally blame on me getting too carried away with the hair (fixed that in my sketchbook when it started to drive me mad). But, regardless, I very much like it x3

Not the final :B which is why I haven't got it up on DA yet, Like I said, it was an experiment in speed, and after goofing off with the hair for a good fifteen minutes, I realized I was tired and whipped the rest together in roughly seven minutes. Talking just the shading here, not the flat colours...

Second drawing of this, I wasn't going to do anything past my first attempt, but after being prodded into showing off the first one I decided.. Yeah, I am SO redrawing that. And I'm glad I did, because it was fun 8D Sat in bed, watched Batman Beyond (Only batman I like even the slightest), and hunched over my my lamp doodling. All was good, until I had to move, at which point I nearly died.

WEEEEE, I'll reopen this and work on it some more tomorrow x3 Have to shade it properly and attempt some form of background, but YAY, had fun.

Art Vomit!

Kinda.. It's another one of those, "Wow, I have a bunch of files I've never done anything with!" Deals.. So I'm DUMPING THEM ALL HERE 8D hahahahaha.

I need a life seriously x3 But I soooo enjoy not having one.

Yeah, scratch that, not having a life makes it so much better x3

So, doodles to the left!! Even though I'm like.. never ever going to get my arse moving on that untitled comic of mine, for some reason I've been working a lot on doodles from it and working on the characters again..Got inspired for some reason x3 Like hell if I know why.

So the one I actually coloured (Hellz yeah, been enjoying the colouring as of late!) I was playing chapter one in my head again last night, and I added a new scene :B and I decided to give this scene a draw on the bus the following morning.

This is the result 8] I'm also going to take the liberty to say it was a shout out at the sudden and temporary wrist injury I gave myself yesterday! Shaking a bottle of paint, something in my wrist went 'Crk' and I was left with a sharp, white hot pain that ran from the underside of my wrist that wrapped right around and down to my elbow any time I rotated my wrist more than ninety degrees from flat. Luckily, by not moving it for hours (clicking and browsing was made very weird) the pain subsided and I have no lingering... effects 8D

Oh yeah, the dude's name is Eli (EE-lye) and... He's got a cru-- He want's Suka, and isn't very subtle about it. Unfortunately in her home world she's lacking the vampire/werewolf protection she gets in the RP, and she doesn't meet goat boy for a time yet >< So she spends a lot of her free time chasing this asshole off, when he's not.. being physically abusive =/ She's wound up with a lot of brusies because of brushes with this guy =[ Suka lacks the fighting spirit to deal with him properly.. Though she does smash a door in his face when he insults her husband 8D *Cheers* go Suka!

Pinks back...

Doodle to the right of the coloured one, I just wanted to draw someone MOVING for the first time in a while x3 SO THERE, very weird.. action pose.

Doodle directly below that, Suka from that nasty green sketchbook I bought, standing in her usual pose with one arm up holding her basket. *mocks*. Wee herb basket =D

To the left I have doodles of Eli.. I was trying to draw the most NOT threatening person I could, cause he's also the biggest ass of a character I've made. Ooooo, oxymoron *waves fingers* So I totally didn't have this sheet on me while I was working on that coloured picture up there ^ SO, he looks different now XD

I like his tail, it's just as handy as another... well another hand I guess... bad pun... He's also REALLY strong D=> Something to do with whatever race he is (Some kind of demon, I'll come up with specifics later) and.. Let's just say I feel bad for Suka.

WEE, I freaking love drawing x3 Daaaaamn, WHY didn't I get into animation D= I could have done so much with all of my characters and crap ><

NEXT YEAR *shakes fist* Oh just you wait, I'LL BLOW YA OUT OF THE WATER

..

Well I'd better.

Busy, yet totally non-productive weekend!

And the last Drawing I managed to pull off this weekend. Which is actually two drawings that I put together, but yeah, you get the gist.

Started as just a drawing of Suka, and I was like.. this is boring, I wanna draw somebody else too! And I was GONNA draw Chase, but I was like... Hmmm... with recent developments as they are... IWANNADRAWVAMPIRE!!!

But, alas, there wasn't enough room on the paper, cause I sorta drew her just.. hovering in the center of the page for some unknown reason. So out came the second sheet of paper!

Damn Sarah and her uber skinny people DX

But Yay for long flow-y silver hair 8D Oh my goodness that was fun >< both to draw and colour. So yeah.. 99% certain I'd shit myself if i ran into this guy in RL. WAY too tall XD way way way way way way way way way way too tall. And creepy. Sure he CAN be a gentleman, but for the most part.. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'd just be terrified. And I've decided, yeaaaaah, Suka's not short enough. WELL, at least with Monty I don't have to worry about making her too tall, like I always do with Chase!

Even though I was just bitching a couple paragraphs ago about her uber skinny characters, I had a lot of fun drawing Monty as I caught up on the latest episodes of Supernatural. Ha, oh whoops... I totally forgot about the print on his.. kimono/shirt dealy >< BUT THE HAIR! <3 <3 <3

I'm also getting better at the stick people :B

Take THAT you twiggy bastard.

I was very tempted to paint him with candycane hair =P

Suka's outfit is pink again... WELL YOU KNOW WHAT... I don't really care anymore x3

I love Montague XD nuff said.

Picture dedicated to my very amazing friend Sarah =]

I'm out, tired and gotta sleep x3

Another resurrection!

What I've been doing all day. Woke up, got dressed, cleaned my room, started laundry, and uhm.. turned on supernatural and doodled. Still haven't bothered to go out and get a new sketchbook, so i was just pumping them out on copy paper x3

Doodles for the day, order goes top left, bottom left, right.

Top Left: Needed to make myself a new ID of sorts, as my 'Eek' picture is just bothering me as a fail in experimentation >< So here's a new one, but I didn't want to draw another overly exaggerated picture of me flipping out (believe me, I've doodled far more than enough of those). But other than me tripping over things that wouldn't bother other people, all I could think to characterize myself is my repeated daftness and my ability to forget what I'm talking about halfway through a sentence because my mind wandered elsewhere. So, pictured top left! My mind wandering elsewhere.

Bottom Left: Oooo look, it's goat boy! You know, I don't know anything about this guy really =/ Except that he's a traveler, doesn't settle in one place for too long, and is very nonchalant and has a relatively large ego. He needs work. Lots of polishing required!

Right: ...

Okay, I guess this guy needs some explaining.. I was digging through my really really really heavy portfolio filled with pictures from way back when as far back as... Uh.. well, seventh grade. This is Alex, he isn't really that old, I must've created him like.. last year, or the year before. Oh wait, It's 09... okay so he's two or three years old. Hmm.. no I don't think he's even that old.. Oh well whatever, his age is of no consequence. I created him for one of my thousands and thousands of stories I never DO anything with, so... yeah.

Alex is a prince, he's good at fencing and horseback riding and is intelligent.. And I'm pretty sure he's gay. Not that he was when I made the story, it kinda fucks up the entire storyline, but like.. Dude, lookit what he's WEARING xD what the hell was I thinking? Must've just finished watching Labyrinth...

Then there's the emo hair and the absolute lack of any physic.. Oh and he's RIGHT handed, but uh.. yeah he's just holding his sword in his left.

Oh look, I forgot to pencil in where his jacket opens.. Apparently it's made of spandex or something 8D once you're in.. you ain't gettin' out.

Anyways, WOO HOO doodles for the day! If I actually DID something with these characters, I'd come up with something awesome. BUT PSHT, Dedicated I am not. 'Sides, most of my characters annoy me x3

Will make a comic one day *crosses heart* that much I promise! And if I can make so much as a single page before the year is out, then I've succeeded in one of my resolutions of 09.

From the Grave

I present... Yukio 8D A character who up until I invented Ain, was my favorite OC I'd ever made. I struggled like hell to draw him because.. I completely forgot what he looked like.

Anywho, this is Yukio, character with a half assed japanese name who found himself the subject of ALL of my creative writing pieces for grade twelve. And if it wasn't him, it was Viktor. With a K. Cause I'm awesome with names like that.

I can't remember his backstory at the moment, except that it was extremely traumatizing, and he killed his dad. And lots of other people. And he's crazy. Very crazy. As in I-DON'T-KNOW-WHO-THE-HELL-I-AM crazy.

I think his backstory needs some work >< I went from really high pants and boots to a kilt and cape... Did I mention Yukio occasionally wears heels? Yeah, he does that just cause he can.

I think I called him Yukio because on scouring endless baby names sites (and being the ... animu.. loser I was.. it HAD to be Japanese), his name translated to "Get's what he wants" which I found ironic because.. Yukio never gets what he wants.

But I can't flippin' remember what he wanted =_= creation fail. *struggles to remember backstory*

Well I had fun to say the least! I haven't drawn him seriously since... since.... at least since september. I think he lost some weight... Couldn't possibly be that I've gotten better at drawing skinny people :P After all, being in a state where you aren't technically in control of your body and not eating for a few years MIGHT have something to do with it.

Fack, he shouldn't even be ALIVE.. dumb properties.. of soul.. oh piss I forgot his soul XD he wears it in a little vial around his neck :B

... Wow, this sounds more and more retarded the more I type.

I used to draw him all the time, because having absolutely flipped his lid, I could draw him in whatever pose I picked, and if someone questioned the awkwardness of a pose, I'd laugh and say, "He can do it, he's crazy!" Cause insanity justifies everything. Riiiiight.

Ah Yukio.. I need to get the dust brushed off you.. You can keep your wapanese name, but I very badly need to iron out the rest of your story =/

*snort* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA don't you just love old drawings? Had to go sifting through my storaged DA gallery for this...

Persistance is key!

Stupid headache.. Hasn't given up all day, though I've had advil and tea and anything else I can imagine to help. Had a nap and everything!

So here's today's picture! I was thinking about drawing Ain for a while, and i was thinking about what kind of clothes he'd wear in a modern setting.. after all, you hardly see guys running around in kilts in this day and age.

Shame.

Anyways, so I'd been thinking about it for a while, and finally I got around to drawing it when my friend Sarah thought it would be funny to make fun of Ain... by turning him into Marilyn Monroe.

PFT real men wear kilts. I don't care WHAT happens in the process of wearing them!

Though I did find it extremely amusing.

Sarah and Leah were beating up Suka today D=> bullies.

Anyhow, still fooling around with cell shading techniques and stuff, I was going to colour the lines up all nice and pretty, buuuut something went wrong in the photoshop process and I lost the chace x3 No biggie, I don't really mind black lines anyhow. Lame background, just so he had something to sit on ><

I forgot to colour his scars AGAIN, and uh.. apparently his right sleeve just vanishes somewhere. Cooooooool.

Not a fan of my new sketch book, the pages are slightly textured which makes everything I draw look a bit.. weird, to say the least, and it's slightly larger than 8.5x11 to make way for easy tearing out of pages.. also makes it fit not so great on my scanner. So nuuuupe, not a big fan XD I'll work with it, maybe I'll grow to love it. Or chuck it and buy another one.

HURRAH ME

I'm probably going to go to bed early tonight if this headache continues as it has.

Tailgate SMASH

Ta-Da! Something I doodled up quicktime friday during class.. and coloured just now.

I wanted to try some new things out, wanted to try out a cell shading technique, wanted to try coloured lines, just experimenting and having fun.

We're back with the pink! Why? because while I was doodling I totally forgot about her new outfit I designed, and automatically doodled her in her old getup.. with slight modifications. Go me x3

Been working on her story lately (in my head) and I realized something.. I put this girl through a LOT D=>

Really gotta start working on the other characters, so I have somebody else to draw x3

AND FOR THE TITLE OF MY ENTRY! Who's ready for another one of my stories?

So this morning dad and I were driving in to the bus station. It was really slow going, traffic backed up right over the mountain, dad and I took the back roads, skidded a lot on ice, and eventually made it back to civilization. My bus is due in roughly seven minutes, and we're sitting way far back in the turning lane. So we're sitting there, and I'm not overly stressed, my class doesn't start till eleven, and I'm pretty much just handing in my sculpture and boom, I'm done.

We're waiting for the light to turn, when the car in front of us (Blue) decides.. He's had enough, he's got places to go and his time matters so much more than anyone else's. A car drives past my window with a low trailer on it, and the vehicle ahead of us turns sharply and suddenly to switch lanes. I'm looking at the distances, and in my head I'm like,

"You're kidding,"

Blue smashes into the back end of the trailer, knocking the tail light clean off, and I watch in bewilderment as it bounces across the lane, instantly lost from sight. How could he POSSIBLY think he had the space to make that lane change? Hell, even I knew he didn't have the space to make it. He was either really impatient, or the trailer was actually too low for him to see through his mirrors and windows. Or he was just stupid, take your pick.

The funny thing was, neither one of the vehicles bothered to stop, they just kept right on going and were lost to dad and I x3

So yeah, I forgot to share that story today, but dad and I were laughing for the remaining trip to the station, where I make it with a few moments to spare and catch my bus.
