From Earlier

Hooray, I finished two of the drawings I've done over the past few days!

To the right is my friend Mike, who was the only one who didn't get an avatar portrait six months ago while I was dishing them out.

I figured I should fix that, and so I did. Here is Mike, the brother of the Avatar, going all superman with his air bender tattoos.

He's just that cool.

Everyone loves air benders, right?

Oh right, everyone except non-benders.
And this is Shaari and Alan, meeting in an alternate universe where Alan did not have any of his satyr qualities; an imagined universe he created for himself. He doesn't remember Shaari, but naturally fell in love with her all over again at first sight.

Alan's actually quite a romantic, you see. I figure where he grew up, satyrs aren't really considered a prime catch, and Alan is very used to being rejected, and makes a game out of it.

Shaari on the other hand, isn't put off by his hooves and loves him anyways.

Darnit they're so cute.

I draw Jessica's characters a lot.

Two Days of Sketches

Sometimes I draw a billion things and then never paint anything. These are my drawings from the past two days, drawn between working on my animations for my group film or as warm up.

I swear I'm trying to paint one now, I just can't pick which one to pay attention to.

Fire Bending

It took me a while, but I finally finished another Avatar portrait. This one is my best friend Sarah, who we'd already decided would be a fire bender!

I like how this turned out- I tried to do it the same way I painted up Sherry last night, and I'm pretty happy with it. It took a lot more work because Sarah had a lot more skin showing than Sherry did, but that's okay. I'm just happy it worked out.

There you go Sarah! All done.

Splash of Water

I'm in the process of making a lot of these...

So this is a portrait of my exceptionally pretty friend Jessica Channer as a water bender! I took the reference from the Southern Water Tribe, but eh, specifics, I don't have them.

You'll notice she's white, even though water benders from the South and North pole are not white.

Can't say I really care all that much, haha.

Next up I've got some more fire benders on the way as well as an earth bender- I stumbled in a bit over my head with the avatar drawings, and now everyone from work wants one too, haha.

Ah well, it's nice to have ideas again.

Here you go Jessica, hope you like it!

I'm usually in bed by now.

Just a Little Fire

I drew this as a present for my sister.

She asks me for a lot of drawings, but I usually don't draw them because I don't have the time or the inspiration-

But today she asked me if I could draw her as a fire bender, because I drew myself as an air bender the other day.

I forget Christmases and birthdays almost every year, but she gives me gorgeous presents that I wear every day and proudly brag about to my friends.

My sisters a pretty awesome person in my life. We fight a lot, and make a contest out of who can call each other the nastiest name, but despite all that, I really look up to my sister, and she means a lot to me.

So Jes, here, this is for you- a special present from a sister who refuses to draw anything you ask of me.

Love you much

Cut Short

I wasn't quite done this, but I accidentally saved and closed my file after scaling down, so now I am finished!

What started as a mission to draw for all of us to draw ourselves as our favourite element from Avatar, is shaping up into a much more ambitious, and much more awesome project.

Also, even though I didn't ask for it, I was told I am the Avatar, because, because, and only because- avatars get to GLOW when they go into the Avatar state. Especially if you're an air bender, and you get glow in the dark tattoos.

So here I am! Being an awesome air bender. That can fly.

Right now it's a huge joke about what a ridiculous air bender I would actually make.

Hey. I'd be an awesome air bender. Don't judge.
