Finally, Happy Valentines!!

It's close enough to Valentines. I'm going to test this nifty "Post Time" and see if this will update itself tomorrow morning.

So! The first Valentine I drew, featuring Jessica's character Phineas and my character Suka.

I may have spent a week writing their entire back story and I find them ridiculously adorable and so very unfortunately broken up.

Aw, man!

I'll make myself feel better.

Sarah has lucked out every year, and she has not gotten a cute Valentine from me yet. I think I hit a nice middle ground this year.

We decided that we thought it'd be cute if Montague and Tinette were actually a pair, and had a relationship that functioned a lot like the one between Jordan and Dr Cox on Scrubs.

In other words, completely defunct.

I had a lot of fun drawing it.

Naysayers. I thwart them.

Love you anyways, mum.

Valentine Wishes Three

Third valentine card I made!

Actually, it's the fifth. Third valentine I've posted.

Sherry and Ninja are a couple I root for very strongly, as they deserve every bit of happiness.

Plus, they're just made of cute.

So cute.

I am currently out of valentines, but I'm working on more.

I should probably actually do my homework at some point.

Pft, homework. Even though I have story boarding tomorrow. Oh dear.

Learning About My OC

Finished my second Valentine; it's actually my fourth, but I'm holding off on two others till actual Valentine's day.

Anyways, Suka and Alan, my OTP from my original story. I ran into a problem when I realized that Alan has a tail-- and I still hadn't really worked out how his stupid satyr tail works with the fact that he wears clothing.

I would normally just draw his tail on top, and assume that a hole had been torn into his pants to allow his tail some freedom. I decided this was stupid, and it's dumb to have a bunch of holes in all of his pants when his tail is relatively small. It's not like a cat tail, or a Borrower's tail, it's just a small goat tail. So I did research! Mountain goats at ease generally have their tails down. Therefore, Alan can just hide his little stubby tail in his pants!

His species doesn't normally wear pants.

I also realized I'd been drawing Alan's horns all wrong, and I was giving him girl horns. Gah.

So I corrected this oversight, and curved Alan's horns appropriately, and I will, in the future, be giving them a wider base, as per billy horns require.

I learned a lot about my character that I probably never needed to know. It's fun figuring out where to draw the line, when working with half breeds.

I love this couple, I really do.

My Right Hand is This One-

I still don't know my left from my right without thinking about it.

I finished this today! It's Valentines season, and I'm not a hater, so I decided to celebrate Valentines the same way I did last year- by celebrating the relationships my characters have.

I've drawn some others, but I can't post them until I've given them to the people I made them for. So that being the case, here is Ainmire and Kara! Jeeze, they're adorable.

I've been playing with lineless art again, but this time instead of breaking up all the individual shapes in to different chunks of colour, I made each shape the same and used lines on the inside to define changing planes.

I think it turned out rather nicely, and I've gotten very good at doing making these very fast. I have some more sketches I need to colour, just of my characters.

Happy Valentines people!

Happy Valentines!!

Everyone's hating on Valentines big this year, so I felt the need to step up and defend it.

I don't really do anything on Valentines; I wake up, I go about my day, I go to bed. Today while in class, I decided I wanted to design a Valentines day card. Hater's gonna hate, but I figured I'd try to be positive about another Monday!

I couldn't figure out what I wanted to draw. Initially, I wanted to draw myself hugging my significant- and then I remembered I didn't have a boyfriend. Hm, that posed complications. I could pick a fictional character, but my favourite characters aren't much ones to provide amusement if I was to tackle them and hug them tightly.

After that, I supposed I could hug one of my characters! After all, I have a couple characters who would be very unhappy to be hugged- mostly being Ainmire and Sherry. Sherlock is horribly bashful around girls, so I decided to use him! And then I realized that no, I couldn't terrify the poor boy enough, and decided to make it funnier by including Chelsea. Chelsea loves Sherlock very much, despite the fact that it's similar to having a crush on my little brother. Ew.

I thought I should step in and try to spare poor Sherry- and that's where this came from. Bad Chelsea! No jail bait for you!

After I turned around and made a Valentines card that was directed to one of my friends, I decided to keep going.

The next person I wanted to make a card for was Sarah, where I ran through a couple options over the course of five seconds. I already drew a Valentines picture last month that summarized two of the more hilarious relationships I could have drawn for a card, so I considered something cute. My brain instantly filtered out Sue and Chase, as well as Suka and Chase, and my head went *click* when I realized I could draw Laurent and Ninja.

After all, Valentines is a celebration of love of all kinds; Not necessarily romantic love.

Plus this held more true to the picture I wanted to draw initially, though in my initial planning stages, Ninja was supposed to be wrapped tightly around Laurent, and Laurent was supposed to be trying very hard to pull her off. Until I realized he probably wouldn't want to touch her.

It turned into this!

Happy Valentines, SAD, half-price chocolate eve, or just happy Monday!
